As of 2025, I shall again be providing one-to-one audio production tuition.

This is something I’ve now been doing for 5 years or so, and I genuinely enjoy it. I use Ableton Live or Logic Pro, although the focus is usually more on the music making itself rather than simply learning the software, so it really doesn’t matter what software you use. I find that the software learning takes care of itself by the mere process of creation, and the same techniques apply across platforms. Some of the main points we can cover:

• Arrangement – One of the main challenges for many producers: how to turn a promising loop into a full and satisfying track.
• Cure for beats sounding basic and thin, and lacking interest – creating depth and complexity without detracting from the impact.
• Creating satisfying melodic parts that work together and compliment one another.
• Using plugins creatively to expand the sonic possibilities, and to create a professional finish.
• Learn how I created a particular effect or sound in any of my previously released music.
• How to write to picture, and how to score for real musicians.
• You can also use the time to get a track ready for release and get help polishing it up.

If you’re interested, the cost is £50/hour, or £45/hour for block bookings of 5 or more lessons

If you’re a student, or under 21, and paying for your own lessons then the cost is £35/hour

I can also do masterclasses for groups, and this is charged at a day rate.
